Upside Down Tomato Growing Update

Well, the upside down tomato plant is flourishing in its hanging basket. Here are a couple of pictures of the plant on different days.

The red arrow shows how the plant is starting to curve up towards the basket.

Day 11-Some tomato blossoms are on the way as well.  Day-11-tomato-blossom-buds There are six tomato blossoms already!

Today the plant looks like a kid on the monkey bars hanging down and then trying to reach back up.  Let's hope the plant will straighten itself out as time goes on.Day-11closeup-of-upside-down-tomato-plant

The marigolds on top have also started to sprout. Have one two leaf starter on the way.  From the looks of the photos guess I'll have to talk  to Nancy Bond about taking better pictures. (Sorry about that folks.)

Hiya, Dr. Craig! I just stopped by here via blotanical. I love the idea of doing the upside down tomatoes in that type of planter. Brilliant. I tried it once in a two-liter bottle with discouraging results, but this method actually looks pretty promising!
