Mothers Day Gift For Gardeners With Sore Backs Or Bad Knees
Here's another Mother's Day gift to make gardening easier for your Mom. We call using tools to make gardening easier adaptive gardening, enabled gardening or accessible gardening. Whatever you choose to call it, tools and other assistive devices can make gardening fun and enjoyable for almost everyone.
As you know I'm all for making gardening easier, so when I saw this rolling seat from Gardener's Supply I knew it could save discomfort for many gardeners. If your knees hurt when weeding and you want to avoid kneeling, this can be helpful. If you have a sore back and bending bothers you, this can be helpful as the height is adjustable.
This rolling garden seat lets you weed or plant from a sitting position. When you finish in one area, just push your feet to move to the next area. The seat is adjustable so all except the very tall like me can find a comfortable position.
It has handles on the side which are helpful for standing up (if you are very wobbly on your feet, this will not work for you.) The entire rolling garden seat can also be turned over and used as a padded kneeler for those who prefer weeding that way. The seat is designed to support weights up to 250 pounds.
All in a gardener's day,
