Container Gardening with My Tomato Update

tomato-from-green-to-ripe

As I've been watching the tomatoes grow and ripen (redden almost seems the correct word to use) I'm reminded again why container gardening is so rewarding.

  • you can grow vegetables easily no matter the size of your "yard". This is adaptive gardening at its best.
  • you control the pesticides you use or don't use
  • ultra freshness as you have vine-ripening vegetables instead of semi-ripened or never to ripen vegetables from the grocer's
  • exceptional taste and freshness which can't be matched
  • convenience of going to the container to "harvest"
  • money saved with one less trip

What have I missed?  Share your thoughts on why you like container gardening or why container gardening works for you.

All in a gardener's day,
