Children, Gardening and Fun
Gardening with children is a great way to show children how things grow. You can let them plant their own seeds and then watch the plants as they grow. When it's having a garden in the backyard, a container on the balcony or a plant pot on the window sill, you can share gardening with your children, grandchildren or friends.
With so many of us living in urban area, many children are unaware of how vegetables and other food items make it from the ground to the grocery store. By spending time you get to bond with your children and teach them valuable lessons about responsibility (weeding and watering), enjoying the results of their work, and the marvel of growing things.
Phil The Gardener has done a quick video to show children how things grow with magic beans. It's a fun easy to do project to do. He talks about using a variety of easy to find containers for the project. Phil The Gardener's even included a supply list so you can easily complete your magic bean project.
All in a gardener's day,
